This role reports to the Director of Pharmacy Operations and focuses on receiving, preparing, and delivering prescriptions accurately and on time. Ensure adequate inventory levels to meet patient needs and counsel patients with appropriate documentation. Provide friendly, positive, and proactive interactions with all internal and external customers.

Supervise and guide Pharmacy staff, including hiring, performance management, scheduling, and ongoing training for technicians, interns, and assistants. Accountable for the financial and operational success of the department, including reviewing budgeted sales and controlling costs. Ensure compliance with OCP and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

Administer vaccinations, conduct point-of-care testing, and provide professional services like medication reviews and minor ailment prescribing. Identify sales opportunities and resolve patient and doctor issues promptly. Requirements

  • Proof of OCP Licensure (OCP License number required with application)
  • Ability to counsel patients regarding new and additional medications
  • Knowledge of OCP regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Experience administering vaccinations and point-of-care testing
  • Skills in medication reviews, follow-ups, and minor ailment prescribing
  • Proficiency in managing pharmacy inventory and costs
  • Capability to supervise, train, and schedule pharmacy teams

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide guidance and direction to Pharmacy staff
  • Hire and manage the performance of all Pharmacy staff
  • Create Pharmacy schedules and arrange for vacation and shift coverage
  • Ensure financial and operational success of the Pharmacy department
  • Review budgeted sales and net contribution of the Pharmacy
  • Ensure Pharmacy Operations follow OCP and Company Regulations, Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure medication and behind the counter inventory levels are adequate to meet patients’ needs
  • Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients
