Trainees commit to 40 hours per week, with 32 hours on-site at a BILH facility and 8 hours of remote online learning. Combine weekly lessons with practical work alongside healthcare professionals in real-world pharmacy settings.
Training occurs at various locations such as hospitals like Lahey Hospital Medical Center and retail pharmacies including BILH Bowdoin and BILH Direct. Work in dynamic environments supporting patient care across neonatal to middle-age groups.
Upon program completion and passing the MA Pharmacy Technician license exam, secure a full-time position. Demonstrate commitment through the training and one year of subsequent employment, building skills in decision making and customer service.
Requirements
- Proficient in English
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Commitment to the full-time training program and 1 year of subsequent full-time employment
- Adaptability, dependability, detail-oriented
- Ability to make decisions based on specific instructions and standard practices
- Ability to address routine problems following clear directions
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and oral English
- Ability to provide high level customer service and remain calm in stressful situations
