Prepare medications and fill orders as written under pharmacist supervision. Handle medication exchanges, pick-ups, and deliveries across locations. Demonstrate knowledge of IV sterile products preparation and unit dose from bulk packaging.

Requirements

  • HS graduate or GED required
  • Active NJ Pharmacy Technician registration
  • Knowledge of medication dispensing and distribution processes
  • Familiarity with IV sterile products preparation
  • Ability to prepare unit dose medications from bulk
  • Skills in inventory management and documentation
  • Experience maintaining automated dispensing devices

Responsibilities

  • Prepares medications and fills orders as written/prescribed under the supervision of Pharmacist
  • Performs medication exchanges, pick-ups and deliveries
  • Demonstrates knowledge of IV sterile products preparation
  • Prepares unit dose medication from bulk packaging
  • Performs inventory management and documentation
  • Maintains automated dispensing devices
  • Performs medication area inspections
