You will assist Pharmacists and Pharmacy Manager with daily operations of the Pharmacy Department. Duties include customer service, telephone inquiries, general housekeeping, operating the pharmacy computer, and assisting in processing and preparation of prescriptions. Responsibilities also cover ordering, receiving drug orders, and managing pharmacy inventory.

Requirements

  • Registration with the College of Pharmacists in the province of employment is mandatory
  • Completed all required national and provincial Regulated Pharmacy Technician programs and passed the exams
  • Good interpersonal skills when dealing with clients, staff, and management
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-starter with a high level of enthusiasm
  • Ability to relate to all levels of customers and their needs
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work as a team player with a team approach

Responsibilities

  • Assist Pharmacists and Pharmacy Manager with daily operations of the Pharmacy Department
  • Provide customer service, handle telephone inquiries, and perform general housekeeping duties
  • Operate the pharmacy computer and assist in processing prescriptions
  • Assist in preparation of prescriptions
  • Order and receive drug orders
  • Manage the pharmacy department inventory
