Assist the Pharmacist in providing customer service to improve community health. Immediately greet patients, determine needs, and relay information to Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician. Collect co-pays, verify demographics, operate cash register, and reconcile receipts.

Requirements
- 18 years of age or older due to clinical access and regulatory requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Washington State Pharmacy Assistant license
- Customer service and telephone skills preferred
- Computer skills required
- Ability to learn new software and other office tools
- Ability to spell accurately
- Basic math skills to calculate patient payments
Responsibilities
- Immediately greet patients, determine their needs and relay appropriate information to Pharmacist/Pharmacy Technician
- Collect insurance co-pays if applicable and verify patient demographic information
- Operate cash register and reconcile daily receipts within established guidelines
- Direct patients to pharmacist on all new prescriptions for counselling and refills when necessary
- Professionally answer telephone calls within established guidelines, take messages and refer callers
- Handle mail, correspondence, copying and filing for Pharmacy staff
- Assist with refills as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned; travel may be required
