You will maintain working knowledge of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution, central operations, and IV admixture. Provide clinical support in a fast-paced hospital pharmacy environment while ensuring adequate drug supplies. Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring and discharge instructions.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure
  • Current state licensure required
  • BLS if required by state
  • PharmD or BS Pharm preferred
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Completion of hospital pharmacy residency preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture
  • Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times
  • Correctly inform and instruct patients on drugs to be used after discharge
  • Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs
  • Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring
  • Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement
