The Embedded Clinical Pharmacist ensures prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care services for patients, nurses and physicians. Work at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital, a 388-bed acute-care hub with Family Birth Center, Level III Trauma and Neonatal ICUs, and a 24-hour Emergency Department. Requirements
- Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington
- Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy experience preferred in hospital, retail, clinic or other setting
- Experience dispensing medications and preparing IV admixtures
- Ability to supervise pharmacy support personnel
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications to patients and interpret IV admixture orders and prepare primary IV solutions
- Manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintain appropriate records
- Supervise support personnel and assume responsibility for final check of all completed work
- Assist in the inspection of all pharmaceutical supplies on all services
- Provide for the safe and accurate provision of pharmaceutical care service
