Spire Parkway Hospital has an exciting bank opportunity for a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist. This role is ideally suited to someone looking for the challenge of delivering a comprehensive pharmacy service within hospital settings. The hospital offers specialist treatments including cancer care.

You will work as part of a close knit specialist oncology and haematology team ensuring a highly personalised service to patients. Duties involve liaising with specialist nursing staff for daily patient workload and utilising planning skills for chemotherapy medications. Pre-assess patients by reviewing test results to ensure safety for treatment.

Review and release medications at discharge and make follow up calls to review side effects and provide support. Requirements

Current GPhC registration with a minimum of 1 year post qualifying practice in Hospital settings
Experience within Oncology Pharmacy is essential
Current dispensing and screening experience
Oncology experience with BOPA SACT verification passport
At least 2 years post registration experience in Oncology desired
Confident in ability to work autonomously and develop the service
Excellent communicator interacting with patients across various departments

Responsibilities

Pre-assess patients, review test results and assess safety to proceed to treatment
