About this role
At Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), the Clinical Oncology Pharmacist serves as a member of the central services team. Focus is to deliver best-in-class pharmaceutical support including therapeutic medication monitoring, protocol management, and medication information. Ensures safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy for oncology patients.
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Pharmacy Clinical Services, the pharmacist works collaboratively with Hematology/Oncology physicians and nursing staff. Coordinates drug therapy process including drug selection using genetic/biomarker testing, dosing, monitoring, and outcomes management. Provides support for new regimen builds and inquiries.
This hybrid position requires Florida resident candidates to provide timely consultation services to physicians, nurses, pharmacy staff, and others. Delivers up-to-date drug information on new approved therapies in oncology and biologic therapies. Applies current pharmacological and biopharmaceutical principles for drug product selection and use.

Requirements
- PharmD degree from accredited college of pharmacy
- Active Florida pharmacist license
- Oncology pharmacy residency training (PGY1/PGY2)
- Knowledge of oncology therapeutics, biomarkers, and clinical trial protocols
- Experience with hematology/oncology drug therapy management
- Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) preferred
- Proficiency in medication safety and performance improvement
Responsibilities
- Provide timely consultation services to physicians, nurses, pharmacy staff, and other members of the organization
- Deliver up-to-date drug information on new approved therapies in the oncology space and biologic therapies
- Apply current pharmacological and biopharmaceutical principles for selection and use of drug products in clinical settings
- Ensure delivery of therapeutic medication monitoring, protocol management, medication information, and education
- Coordinate drug therapy process including drug selection with genetic/biomarker testing, dosing, monitoring, and outcomes management
- Provide support for development of new regimen builds and inquiries
- Work collaboratively with Hematology/Oncology physicians and nursing staff to provide quality patient care
